In that role, he oversees finances and sets policy for a growing public body with a multi-million-dollar budget. In 2006, Mayor Jeffery Schielke appointed him to the City of Batavia Board of Zoning Appeals, where he reviews residents’ requests for variances and recommends action to City Council.

Sullivan’s professional life is also dedicated to public service. He is the Government Affairs Specialist for Pace Suburban Bus, the public transit agency serving northeastern Illinois ’ six-county region.
